Conference Theme

“Transforming our World: The Role of Education in Global Sustainability”

WCCI is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a plan of action for people, planet, prosperity while also strengthening universal peace through partnerships. We are committed to free the human race from poverty and want to heal and secure our planet through quality education (SDG #4). We are encouraging bold and transformative ideas and initiatives to collaborate on the steps which are urgently needed to shift the world onto a sustainable and resilient path.

WCCI’s 19th World Conference welcomes researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and educators from around the world to participate in presentations and discussions around these five key areas identified by UN SDG Agenda 30 and reflect our commitment to global sustainability:

We are committed to support efforts to end poverty and hunger, in all their forms and dimensions, and to ensure that all human beings can fulfil their potential in dignity and equality and in a healthy environment.

We are committed to support efforts to protect the planet from degradation, including through sustainable consumption and production, sustainably managing its natural resources and taking urgent action on climate change, so that it can support the needs of the present and future generations.

We are committed to support efforts to ensure that all human beings can enjoy prosperous and fulfilling lives and that economic, social and technological progress occurs in harmony with nature.

We are committed to support efforts to foster peaceful, just and inclusive societies which are free from fear and violence. There can be no sustainable development without peace and no peace without sustainable development.

We are committed to support efforts to move forward with this UN Agenda 2030 and the UN SDGs through this 19th WCCI World Conference, conference presentations, moderated discussions and ongoing yearly webinars and events that are based on a spirit of strengthened global solidarity with an invitation for collaboration to support all countries, all stakeholders and all people through innovative technologies.
